Anna Prashan or First Feeding Ceremony is a traditional Hindu Ceremony that is one of the important ceremonies after the birth of a child. It is when the child is fed solid food for the first time. Traditionally, after consultation with panditji an auspicious day and time is selected and the ceremony completed with the feeding of some soft rice or kheer.
